Crew Pay & Raises

What the crew gets paid and how it's decided: hourly against by the square priced on one real job, so you can see who carries the slow day; the crew price list you write once so the number stops moving in every driveway; the two gates the check waits on — the walk and the customer's money — and why nothing gets held back after them; and the raise ladder that puts the path on the wall, so pay follows the proven skill and the Friday ask stops.

These plays are how we run a shop — they are not legal, tax, or accounting advice. Rules change by state and by contract, so before you act on the legal-sounding parts, run them past your own attorney or accountant. It's your business, and what you do with any of this is your call and your responsibility.
